Stainless Steel Pneumatic Actuator

Stainless Steel Pneumatic Actuators from OMAL, available from Tectra Automation, come in 4 variations – double acting and spring return double casting; and double acting and spring return from bar. All OMAL stainless steel pneumatic actuators are ATEX and SIL 3 certified, which allows for installation in potentially explosive environments andguarantees customers the highest level of functionalsafety, respectively.

Torque across the range varies. For double acting precision casting torque is from 15 to 240 Nm while the spring return version provides torque from 15 to 240 Nm. The spring return from bar stainless steel pneumatic actuator has torque from 360 to 960 Nm and the DA version from 720 to 1 920 Nm.

For both the double acting versions, torque is directly proportional to the air supply and for the spring return models, it is dependent on spring action only, notwithstanding the air supply. The spring for each is provided in 4 different sizes.

High resistance to the forces inside the actuators are achieved with all slots, bushes and pins made of steelwith hardness higher than 50 HRC. These actuators have rolled cylinders, reducing surface roughness to 0.15 micron Ra, resulting in less wear of the energised ties.
