SPU Suction Plates

Schmalz has developed the SPU round suction plate for the handling of both smooth and flat work pieces with its unique suction pads that have diameter sizes ranging from 100 mm to 400 mm.

The SPU suction plate can also securely handle work pieces with a slightly rough surface, such as wood or scaly metal sheets, and thin metal sheets (approx. 1 – 2.5 mm) as well as manages the self-adhesion between the sheets.

• Supports on the bottom resulting in no permanent deformation of thin-walled work pieces
• Low internal volume making it the ideal suction pad for very short cycle times
• Wide range of diameters for many different work pieces
• Optimum shape enables high suction force in spite of small dimensions
